THE MINISTER…
Greetings
from the Church of Christ in Roxbury, Massachusetts. We would like to
extend to you, an open invitation to come and visit us whenever you are in
the Boston area. The Church of Christ in Roxbury is a people of the Book,
we “speak where the Bible speaks, we are silent where the Bible is
silent,” we call Bible things by Bible names and do Bible things in
Bible ways. We are a friendly, Christ-centered, Bible believing Church
made up of good people trying to do good things for the Lord. We seek to
fully satisfy God as we worship Him in spirit and in truth (John 4:24;
17:17). Our church is devoted to serving God in every work he has
ordained. You will find a atmosphere of love (John. 3:35); a ministry that
builds relationships (John. 3:22); a presentation of Christ that
communicates His mission (Matt. 28:18 -20); a prayer based ministry ( Eph.
6:18; Rom. 12:12) and a ministry where the Word is preached and taught
with boldness (II Tim. 4:1-5). We are a body of believers governed by New
Testament doctrine. We believe Jesus is the Son of God (John 3:16). We
believe the Bible is the inspired word of God (II Tim. 3:16-17) . We
believe in water baptism (Acts 2:38; 22:16 ) We believe in the church as
the body of Christ (Eph. 4:12, I Cor. 12:12) We believe that when we
follow the Bible, we will be Christians only (Acts 11:26, I Pet. 4:16) We
believe the Lord’s Supper should be observed every Lord’s Day (Sunday)
(I Cor. 11:24-25; Acts 20:7) It is not our interest to provide a place of
worship that is merely “entertaining,” rather it is our desire to
stimulate ones faith by being steadfast in His Will. We look forward to
your visit. The Church of Christ in Roxbury salutes you with a holy kiss
(Rom 16:16).
